#137: 2017 in review

In the beginning of the year, I asked myself 3 questions - in hoping that a year later, I would be able to answer these questions.

So here's what I wrote on this day last year.

1. Have I uploaded 40 new videos to Best Food KL YouTube?

It's my mission to vlog weekly for Best Food KL. I know there are 52 weeks in a year - but of course there will be moments where I'll be lazy and have no inspiration to vlog, so I am aiming for 40 vlogs this year.

2. Have I created an impact as an anchor?

I am truly honoured to be given the opportunity to anchor NN. With that said, I do not just want to be a normal anchor... I want to create an impact too, or at least have a strong presence as I anchor the news. This is still vague at the moment and I do not know exactly how to achieve this... but I do know that I do not want this opportunity to be a syok-sendiri-look-at-me-I'm-on-TV stint.

3. Do I have a toned body?

DON'T LAUGH!!!!! I know it's hard with Best Food KL and all... but I want to hit the gym more often this year. I do not want a sado body... but maybe, just a nice, toned body with a flat tummy? Is that too much to ask? Hahaha!

My answers:

1) I uploaded 24 videos, which is *checking my calculator* 16 videos short of the target. With that said, the channel has grown so much. First of all, I changed the name from Best Food KL to just Best KL (and later Best Kuala Lumpur). I've gained 700 subscribers and over 120,000 channel views. I am keeping in touch with a couple of viewers from the region and 2018 is just about improving and uploading more videos.

2) No - I was taken off air. Haha

3) No - I only visited the gym a few times.

I didn't achieve all of the above. Ok, maybe I should not do this kind of post, but it's kinda good to re-visit it.
