One of my goal for 2013 is to lead a healthier lifestyle. I've been eating, eating, eating... and I've not be exercising at all. And you must know by now that I love my nasi lemak.
Last year, I cancel my gym membership because I found myself going there only once a month to settle the payment. Otherwise, you won't see me in the gym at all.
Plus I don't see myself paying around RM210 a month when I have a gym in my condominium. It might not have the complete equipment but the basics are there.
I am turning 27 in a few months and 30 three years from now (gosh I'm old!) so it's about time for me to lead a healthy lifestyle. I'm starting to change my diet (Nasi Lemak will still be part of the list, but in moderation). I want to hit the gym more often, too!
#dailyMOJO #6: If not now, when?
Yesterday, I took a dip in the pool. Did a few laps and boy I felt good. The last time I went for a swim was two months ago but I plan to continue swimming on a weekly basis.
Just a few minutes ago, I went to the gym (like finally!!) and did a 10-minute jog followed by a 10-minute run on the treadmill. I went back home sweating like mad. Won't be long before I could join Zarul Azuan of #GengKakiLari
Even though my regime during these past two days are very basic, but it's a step. It's a step for me to take ACTION. It's a step for me to actually get my lazy a$$ in the pool and also in the gymnasium.
We all need that first step for us to reach the next step. I'm taking this new journey a step at a time. From 10 minutes, I might improve to 15 minutes, 20 minutes or even half an hour. Then I'll the other machines.
I want to remain committed to this new regime. I've been too lazy in the past and it's about time for me to start exercise. Don't you feel the same way, too?
Your feedback is my #dailyMOJO too! Let's continue the conversation in the comment box: Are you making any lifestyle changes this year?

We have the same resolution! Well, I want to try to lose a few dress sizes, and that means losing some weight too. But there's no free gym where I'm staying, so I plan to Zumba. Zumba is fun, as it combines dancing and aerobics. I don't like jogging or machine exercises, so Zumba is perfect for me. I'm also trying to cut junk food and fast food intake. Good luck on your quest to a healthier you!
ReplyDeleteDebbie,
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you, too!! Let's keep each other updated on our progress! :D
P.S. Cutting down on the junk food is soooooo hard.... but I deserve a treat once in a while! :D

Hey Syafique! I met an old college mate yesterday. The last time I saw her was like 10 years ago, and she told me I've lost a lot of weight! I was so happy! :D It's really hard to skip junk food. I cheat sometimes too, with a tiny piece of chocolate a day. No point to fast and then binge during weekends, right? I have a long way to go before reaching my ideal weight. Wish me luck! :D
