How are you impacting your own world?

At 26 years old, Lady Gaga is the youngest woman on this year's Most Powerful Women List presented by Forbes magazine. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton top the list. Oprah Winfrey is the most powerful entertainment personality at 11 and first-timers to the list include Jennifer Lopez and Yahoo!'s Marissa Mayer.

Whether it's Forbes' Most Powerful Women List, Forbes Celebrity 100 or even Time's 100 Most Influential Person in the World list... it's always nice to read and go through the list, right?

Just last year, I had the opportunity of being part of a "Men of the Year" list and what a privilege it was to be part of the list with other influential people (one person on that list is my colleague now. Hello, Zan!!). Although it was for a local magazine (and not Forbes), it was still a cool experience.

As much as it's fun to be part of a magazine feature, at the end of the day, it's all about the WORK. No matter who we are and our age... we all can make a difference and an impact.

We might not be world leaders with the power to influence many but I certainly do know that we have the power to influence our own community. The things we do might not generate media attention, but we certainly can make a difference.
