MY BEST ADVICE ON... STARTING A NEW PROJECT
It is my belief that every individual has the potential and capacity to start a project and be the change, and here’s my advice to those already have an idea that awaits execution.
1. Know your passion
Be clear of what drives you. Don’t start a new project for the sake of going after the money and/or fame. Start something because you are passionate about it. Know what your passion is keeps you focused.
2. Perseverance is key
Start by focusing on the areas that you are good at, and be persistent. Remember, take one step after another, and build a solid foundation from the ground up.
3. Embrace failure
Know that to fail is a learning process. Learn from your failure, take note and move on. Don’t feel demotivated by failure; embrace failure like your best friend.
4. Connect with people and ideas
Work with the best people that you know, always be humble and be open with new ideas.
And of course, know that ideas are plenty, execution is key. If you have an idea, work on that idea today.
MY BEST ADVICE ON... BEING UNIQUE1. Understand yourself
I always believe firmly that whatever I do, it is important to understand myself well. Settle in your own skin; know your strength and weaknesses.Know that you have the key to be the change that you want to see in the world.
Ask yourself these questions from time to time: What is your passion? What is it that you fear? What can you learn from those around you? Have you been the best version of yourself?
2. Don’t go with the routine
More often than not, going with the routine seems to be the smartest, also the easiest move – people before you have proved that a certain routine worked, so why not just go along the same path, right? Not if you want to make a difference. Not if you want to do a remarkable job.
Quoting Ralph Waldo Emerson, do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
3. Don’t be afraid to raise the bar
Be passionate and focus on doing your best. Don’t be afraid to stand out, challenge yourself to new heights from time to time.
MY BEST ADVICE ON... LIFE'S CHALLENGES1. Embrace change
Change is inevitable, for every change lies an opportunity. Fear of change is only as powerful as its representation in your mind.
2. Learn, Unlearn and Relearn
Learning is an ongoing process. Be ready and keep an open mind for new knowledge.
3. Whatever happens, be grateful, speak and magnify the good rather than the bad
I believe it is all a matter of perception. You could see yourself as a victim of circumstances or you could make a change of perspective and see it as a learning opportunity and start to take charge of your life.
MY BEST ADVICE ON... FRIENDSHIP (RELATIONSHIP)For every relationship you have in life, always keep in mind – not to take other people for granted. Be grateful to every person that you’ve met. Appreciate them as they are. Treat people with respect. You are the mirror to the world. Interact with others like how you wish others to interact with you.
MY BEST ADVICE ON... MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Know that you can start to make a difference by offering those around you a small act of kindness every day. Know that people like to feel accepted, valued and understood. Make it your goal to be a source of positivity.
connect. socialize. share.
